Canada tornadoes in 2017

With the 2018 tornado season already started, we are taking a look at the 2017 tornado season.

44 tornadoes in total touched down in Canada in 2017. Quebec had the most tornadoes touch down out of any province. 11 of those 14 tornadoes, however, occurred during a one day outbreak on June 18th. 12 tornadoes touched down in Ontario. Nine tornadoes touched down in Saskatchewan. Eight tornadoes touched down in Alberta. Only one tornado touched down in Manitoba.

The most destructive Canadian tornado in 2017 touched down in the town of Sainte-Anne-du-Lac, Quebec on June 18th. This tornado was rated in the EF3 category on the Fujita scale.
