Sheridan students get lucky at bingo night

BY MEGAN D’ANDREIS

Sheridan’s Sexy Bingo event was so popular last night that is will now be offered every month at the Marquee.

Sexy Bingo aims to break the traditional sex conversation by discussing the topic in a fun and welcoming way. The event is a free, all ages event hosted by the Sheridan Student Union. (SSU)

The SSU events team touched on the sensitive topic of safe sex and consent, in a way that makes people laugh and feel comfortable, but still delivers crucial information.

Kim Moreira, a member of the SSU, says it is important in college to promote sexual health awareness. People are often shy to talk about sex, so why not make it with no stigma around it, she explained.

“This is also an arts campus so there is a lot of freedom and creativity here,” she adds.

Combined with drinks, food, and bingo, this makes it a night that everyone will enjoy.

“Bingo is the perfect game to pair with this event because it’s just a simple game everybody knows. Everyone can participate and there are very even chances of winning or losing.” Moreira said.

The best thing is, the winners get prizes. Prizes are various sex toys, games and paraphernalia.

As always, you can visit the SSU event calendar to find out when the next Sexy Bingo event is. If you are planning to attend, give yourself ample time to arrive and take your seats because they fill up fast.

Each Sheridan student can bring one friend who does not attend Sheridan providing they adhere to the Sheridan House Rules.
