The Sheridan Student Union announced Winter Clubs Fair to be hosted on all campuses. The event will showcase the different clubs Sheridan has to offer including how to join or start a club.
Each campus will host the event on different days from Monday, January 30th to Thursday, February 3rd. Davis campus will host the event on January 30-31, Hazel McCallion campus will host from February 1-2 and Trafalgar campus will be hosting from February 2-3.
The purpose of the event is to showcase all the different clubs on offer at Sheridan. Giving students insight as to which clubs interest them, which ones they want to join, and even how to start their own club. Ellina Boufal, a club coordinator for the Davis Campus, says that participating in clubs is a good way of engaging in activities without academia.
“The main point of having a club is for students to have a social life and just not be focused on school or study,” says Boufal.
She also pointed out that the event can also bring a lot of fun activities for students curious about the clubs. “Sometimes there are quizzes, there are scavenger hunts where you can win prizes and stuff. So it’s a very engaging event,” says Boufal.
