Despite this weekend’s snowstorm, hundreds of women came together to march the streets of Toronto. ‘Women March On’ was held on Jan. 19 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Nathan Phillips Square. The event had several guest speakers who addressed issues such as cutbacks to government funding, civil rights made by our provincial government and violence against women. The march originally initiated in solidarity with women in the United States as they coped with the presidency of their new leadership Donald Trump.
