It’s becoming increasingly clear video games are embedded into Sheridan College’s DNA. Every day you can spot someone mashing away on their keyboard and mouse trying to win a hard-fought game, or gazing at a live stream for a tournament. League of Legends is the clear favourite at Sheridan, and with millions of international fans, it’s easy to see why. A club dedicated to the love of the game meets at the Hazel McCallion Campus to share the excitement of seeing a great tournament. They watch as professional gamers with coaches duel it out for spots in a tournament with a prize pool in the hundreds of thousands, cheering along the way. It may sound like any other sport, and these fans believe there is no difference.
