Sheridan Votes 2019: We the Majority

What do young people really care about? For the first time in Canadian history, 18-34 year-olds represent the majority of voters and have the power to influence the outcome of this election.

We sent our second-year journalism students out to ask young people what issues matter most to them and if it will impact their decision to vote.

They, together with students from across Canada as part of a collaborative project with J-Schools Canada/ĖcolesJ asked two simple questions:

What is the most important issue to you as you decide whether or not to vote, and why?

Will you vote in the upcoming federal election – why or why not?
