The trap of childhood obesity

Although there is lots of awareness about adult heath and self-care, childhood obesity still remains on the radar for families today. With advancing technology, the effects of food and health are closely monitored by government and the healthcare industry. Despite this, childhood obesity in Canada has steadily risen in recent decades. Family lifestyle changes, a focus on technology in the home, lack of physical activity and overall genetics are leading to questions about the future health of today’s youth. Sadly, We now know that childhood obesity leads to other fatal illnesses later in life, so it is critical that we do everything we can to prevent it for the long term health of our future.
